Volunteers of America Chesapeake & Carolinas (VOACC), The Prince George’s County Health Department, and Audacy will be facilitating The Greatest of All Time (G.O.A.T.) Youth Mental Health Expo 2025 on Saturday, May 10, 2025 from 10:00AM – 3:00PM at Bowie State University. The only expo of its kind, this fourth annual event will focus on providing resources and best practices to support the mental health and wellness of youth ages 16 – 24 and their caregivers in Prince George’s County, MD.
The G.O.A.T. Expo was created in direct response to the nationwide youth mental health crisis. The 2024 expo brought together over 840 individuals, including 690 youth and families, 74 exhibitors, and 48 speakers and performers. Building off of this success, the 2025 G.O.A.T. Expo will showcase exhibitors, live entertainment, interactive activities, open mic, wellness experiences and more on a smaller scale as we prepare for our largest event for our five-year anniversary in 2026.
“For the 2025 G.O.A.T. Youth Mental Health Expo, we reaffirm our commitment to uplifting and empowering the next generation. Mental wellness is the foundation of a brighter future, and together, we are breaking barriers, fostering resilience, and creating safe spaces for healing and growth. We will continue this journey—supporting, inspiring, and equipping our youth and their caregivers with the tools to thrive. The future is strong when we stand together!”
Dr. Sheryl Neverson, SVP of Organizational Excellence at VOA Chesapeake & Carolinas
“The G.O.A.T. Youth Mental Health Expo is a vital initiative in our ongoing efforts to support the well-being of young people in Prince George’s County. This event not only connects youth and their families with essential mental health resources but also fosters a community of support, empowerment, and awareness. We are proud to continue this work alongside our partners to ensure that every person has the tools they need to thrive.”
Dr. Matthew Levy, Prince George’s County Health Officer
We are thrilled to announce Audacy (WPGC 95.5 and El ZOL Radio) as an official partner of the 2025 G.O.A.T. Youth Mental Health Expo! As longtime supporters of the expo since its inception, Audacy has always shown a strong commitment to youth empowerment and community wellness. This year, they are stepping up in a big way—taking on a larger role to help amplify our message of resilience, mental health awareness, and hope for young people. Audacy, a leading multi-platform audio content and entertainment company, reaches millions of listeners and has been a consistent voice for change in the DMV. Their involvement as an official partner brings not only energy and visibility but a shared passion for uplifting our youth. We are beyond excited about this collaboration and the incredible impact it will have on the students we serve.
“We’ve been proud partners with the G.O.A.T Expo since its inception four years ago and have seen the positive impact it’s had on the DMV community,” said Ivy Savoy-Smith, Senior Vice President and Market Manager, Audacy Washington D.C. “The expo created a safe, empowering space for our neighbors to connect, learn and grow. Through our platforms, we’re honored to amplify messages of resilience, mental health awareness and hope for the youth in our community.”
Ivy Savoy-Smith, Senior Vice President and Market Manager, Audacy Washington D.C.
As a collaborative effort driven by the community, The G.O.A.T. Expo would not be possible without funding support from generous leaders in the community.

About Volunteers of America Chesapeake & Carolinas
Volunteers of America Chesapeake & Carolinas (“VOACC”) is a faith-based, nonprofit organization whose mission is to inspire self-reliance, dignity, and hope through housing, health and human services.
At VOACC, we have been helping to create Healthy Communities for All for over 129 years by aligning housing, health and human services. We actively pursue health equity by filling the gap in housing and care for underserved populations, including those who are experiencing homelessness, low-income, underinsured or uninsured, justice-involved and veterans. By offering integrated housing and care, we address the social determinants that impact the long-term stability for those in need.
Through a dedicated team of management, staff and volunteers who are guided by our Core Values – Visionary, One Body, Integrity, Compassion, Excellence, and Faith – we are the safety net for thousands of men, women and children each year across Maryland, the District of Columbia, Virginia and the Carolinas. We operate over 49 programs focused on 8 areas of service: homeless services, affordable housing, mental health, substance use recovery, intellectual/developmental disabilities services, community re-entry, veteran services and workforce development.
VOACC has over 900 staff members and more than 2,000 volunteers. The organization helps over 9,700 individuals and families every year from Maryland, Virginia, the District of Columbia and the Carolinas. For more information on VOACC, please visit www.voachesapeake.org.
