Pam Myrick Barrier

Pam’s heart for children and families has guided her work for more than two decades. She is currently pursuing her Master of Social Work at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Pam earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Criminology from Ohio University and later completed a Master’s degree in Theology from Life Christian University, blending both academic and faith-based perspectives into her approach to leadership and care.

Pam began her career with the Department of Social Services, where she spent over 10 years working directly with children and families involved in foster care. Starting as a technician supervising family visits and transporting children to appointments, Pam quickly discovered her passion for supporting children in care and helping families heal during times of crisis. She went on to serve as a foster care and adoption social worker and later as a supervisor, deepening her commitment to strengthening families and building stability for children.

Pam joined Triad Treatment Homes in 2005 as a Clinical Supervisor and Foster Parent Trainer and has since played a pivotal role in advancing the organization’s mission. As the oldest therapeutic foster care agency in North Carolina and a leader in trauma-informed care, Triad Treatment Homes has grown under Pam’s steady, mission-centered leadership—ensuring children and families receive care that fosters healing, stability, and hope. She was appointed Executive Director in 2017 and, in 2022, was honored to become President and CEO.

Pam has been married to her husband, Shon, for over 29 years, and together they have raised three children, now ages 26, 23, and 20. Outside of work, Pam enjoys giving back to her community through volunteering with the Community Theater of Greensboro and Renaissance Church. In her free time, she loves trips to the beach and Disney World, watching musical theater, and spending meaningful time with her family and friends.
