Please join our entire VOACC family in welcoming Ms. Tiana Joyner in her new role as our Senior Vice President of Operations.
Tiana Joyner has been with Volunteers of America since 2013 when she joined the VOA Carolinas team. She came to us with a background in Health and Gender studies, her BA from Monmouth University in New Jersey and significant experience in Veterans and Housing and Homeless Services. In 2017, she was a critical leader in the merging of the two affiliates which officially came together in 2019. Tiana has served as Carolinas’s VP since then and has been incredibly successful in her role. She has developed strong teams and established significant community relationships that have brought opportunities to the organization. Tiana is committed to life-long learning for herself and others. She was a part of the inaugural 2017 Senior KeyMakers class and has continued to work with our internal KeyMakers programming. Further, Tiana is commissioned as a VOA Minister and serves our ministry actively.
“I am excited and honored to be provided the opportunity to expand my support to all of VOACC service areas. The last 9 years working at VOA has been extremely rewarding helping to service those most in need. I am looking forward to this new role. ‘Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us.’ Ephesians 3:20”Tiana Joyner
Tiana is a critical thinker who finds solutions. Under her leadership, her team actively drives Dynamic Strategies in their region, achieved their first CARF accreditation, expanded services to include 61 counties in North Carolina, and has recently added their first offering of behavioral health services to North Carolina. Tiana has a strength for grants and identifying details that are critical for operations. Tiana has driven excellence in her region. The Carolinas programs consistently exceed stakeholder expectations during audits and reviews. Tiana is passionate about the lives of the people we serve as well as supporting her team and teammates. Recently, Tiana stepped in to serve as the Interim VP for Virginia in addition to her role in the Carolinas and supported the transition of the new VP.
Tiana is an outstanding leader and has always been willing to help where needed. She consistently demonstrates a commitment to those we serve and model our affiliate’s core values (Visionary, One Body, Integrity, Compassion, Excellence, Faith).
Please help us congratulate and welcome Tiana Joyner into the SVP of Operations role.
