About
Paca House was first launched in 1996 as a comprehensive response to widespread homelessness among vulnerable populations in Baltimore City and surrounding environs. Located at 116 North Paca Street, the facility and program are designed to help low-income and homeless adults, seniors, persons with disabilities and veterans make positive life changes through 92 units of permanent housing and supportive services provided by VOACC staff and partnering local agencies and organizations within the community.
Eligibility
Housing and services are provided to adults who meet the following criteria:
- Earn 50% or below the area median income
- Be on an in-house waiting list
- Pass a credit and background check by property management
- Complete income and tax credit certifications annually with property management
Services Provided
Our voluntary services and activities include, but are not limited to:
- Financial literacy classes
- Health education classes /screenings
- Cooking and nutrition classes
- Church / bible study
- End of life planning and personal insurance
- Referrals for healthcare benefits, GED classes, vocational training, substance abuse and mental health treatment.
