Helping Adults Living with Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities Thrive
About
Since 2007, Volunteers of America Chesapeake & Carolinas has been providing services and support in the District of Columbia to people living with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (I/DD). Our DC I/DD programs provide in-home services; day rehabilitation services; and nine (9) group homes, including two intermediate care facilities (ICF). Our group homes are community-based living properties designed for special care of those with intensive behavioral and medical needs. In our programs, highly skilled nurses and specially trained direct support staff encourage those consumers to reach their highest level of independence.
