Lillie Grace

Lillie Grace has been involved in music since childhood. Born and raised in Washington, D.C., she began singing at the age of three and playing the piano at six. She continued to develop her talent both naturally and through instruction, studying classical piano for 15 years. As a student in the Visual and Performing Arts magnet program, she graduated from Suitland High School and later attended Berklee College of Music, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Professional Music with a concentration in Music Education.

For 17 years, Lillie was a devoted member of Peace Baptist Church in Washington, D.C., serving as a youth music director and pianist in the music ministry. She is now a dedicated member of Zion Church, where she serves as a worship leader.

Throughout her musical career, Lillie has been blessed with numerous professional experiences and opportunities. She performed at Nationals Park during a Washington Nationals game, paying tribute to the city’s fire and police departments. She was also invited to perform at the installation ceremony of Metropolitan Police Department Chief of Police Cathy L. Lanier and at the first inauguration of President Barack H. Obama II. In 2004, she was crowned Youth Icon of the Washington, D.C./Maryland/Northern Virginia area, which led to a performance at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. She also won Sportplex Idol in 2006. In 2013, Lillie was the 1st place winner of BET’s Apollo Live in New York City, which aired in July 2014.

Lillie has traveled extensively across North America and Europe to minister through song. She has been an ardent supporter and participant in the Hampton University Ministers’ Conference and the Choir Directors’ & Organists’ Guild Workshop since 2008, successfully auditioning for its talent showcase each year she attended. While at Berklee, she was a member of several gospel recording groups, performing background vocals and opening for renowned artists such as Byron Cage, Tye Tribbett, Regina Belle, Donnie McClurkin, Ashmont Hill, Nona Hendryx, Doobie Powell, Denise Powell, J.J. Hairston & Youthful Praise, Jonathan Nelson, Marvin Sapp, Bilal, Tamar Braxton, and many more.

Lillie has also participated in some of Berklee’s most prestigious productions, including Singer’s Night, Singer’s Showcase, Rock-Pop-Live Showcase, the Hurricane Katrina Fundraiser Showcase, the Quincy Jones Tribute, and Why I Sing the Blues: A B.B. King Showcase/Play, in which she played the key role of Sue, B.B. King’s former wife. Additionally, she was a featured performer in First Baptist Church of Glenarden’s annual Christmas production, Someway Somehow, sharing the stage with artists such as Tamela & David Mann, Kierra Sheard, Darrell Walls, Anaysha Figueroa, Isaac Carree, Anthony Evans, BeBe Winans, Jonathan McReynolds, Kim Burrell, MAJOR, and others.

Beyond music, Lillie has had the honor of performing at various political events for Senator Angela Alsobrooks (formerly Prince George’s County Executive), Governor Wes Moore, and President Joe Biden.

In January 2019, Lillie released her debut single, Numb, on all major streaming platforms.

As she continues to perfect her craft, Lillie strives to glorify God, inspire her supporters, and serve as a role model—demonstrating humility, dedication, and excellence to aspiring young musicians.
