Pastor Darrell Townsend is a native of Southeastern Virginia and has been joyfully married to his wife, Kim, for over 38 years. He holds a B.A. in Labor Studies and attended Tabernacle Baptist Bible College in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Pastor Townsend serves as the Chief External Connect Officer for Zion Church, overseeing multiple campuses across Maryland and Virginia.

A passionate servant of Christ, Pastor Townsend has a heart for global missions. He has led and equipped teams on over 40 short-term mission trips to Haiti, Kenya, and the Dominican Republic, offering him a unique perspective on the global church and its diverse needs.

In his leisure time, Pastor Townsend enjoys reading, playing board games and cards, and watching great movies. His life and ministry are guided by a deep commitment to faith, service, and fostering meaningful connections both locally and abroad.
