Ava Brewer grew up in Greensboro NC, attended public school, and the Methodist church with her family. She went to college in both NC & Florida & graduated with a BA in Education. She went back to school and got her MA in her 50’s. She has taught academically talented children as well as those with special needs in public, private & home schools and believes all three are viable selections depending on your family needs. She has taught in several states within the United States as well as Australia and India and has done street ministry in Greece, Israel, Turkey, Mozambique, and Tanzania.
She and her husband, Paul have seven children, which gave her a different perspective on many things, particularly family and personal needs, or as she would phrase it.. “ learning to survive.”
Having children and wanting to know the truth to pass on to them is what made her seek out the truth of exactly who God is, and how to share that with her family and others.
Having so many children, the first 5 in 7 years, is what taught her to totally rely on God’s goodness and provision.
“Life can be very hard but also wonderful, circumstances can be devastating but also promising, and God is always the same. He is totally dependable and has set up a system of covenant that gives us whatever we need to be strong and successful no matter our circumstances. Learning that and how to stand firm and walk in it…changes everything.”
