Amere Langley is a YouthBuild Case Manager for VOACC in Newport News, VA. He brings a strong foundation in psychology, complemented by sociology, to his role as a Case Manager at VOACC. He earned his undergraduate degree from Bridgewater College and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Regent University. Amere has over a year of experience in his current role and works extensively in the mental health field as a Qualified Mental Health Professional – Children (QMHP-C). He also holds certifications in Narcan administration, CPR/First Aid, CPI, and other key mental health-related skills in Virginia.
In addition to his heart in mental health, Amere has a deep passion for music, having participated in choirs, gospel ensembles, and state chorales throughout his life. He enjoys breaking down music by ear to explore its nuances and emotional depth. Outside of work, Amere is an avid anime fan, appreciating the genre’s storytelling and artistry. Recognizing the demands of his field, he prioritizes self-care to maintain balance and well-being. Lastly, Amere is a discerning foodie, enjoying his meals crafted to his specific tastes.
