Executive Assistant to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), SVP of Organizational Excellence (OE), and Ministry

Karen Jones, affectionately known as “KJ” by her family and friends, brings over 25 years of experience supporting executive-level management teams to her role. She is currently pursuing a degree in Psychology at the University of the District of Columbia and is deeply passionate about organizational operations and efficiency.

Outside of her professional pursuits, Karen is an avid reader and enjoys cooking. She is also actively involved in volunteer activities, reflecting her strong commitment to serving the community, and is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

In her role, Karen works directly with the COO, SVP of OE, and Ministry, providing crucial support across a wide range of operational functions. These include strategic planning, operations support, organizational development, outreach, and learning initiatives. She also plays a key role in fostering innovation, efficiency, and organizational culture, as well as facilitating communication with the Board of Directors, VOA National office, and the volunteer ministry team.

Karen looks forward to contributing her expertise and collaborating with the team to achieve organizational goals.
