MANDC Gets A New Executive Director
Volunteers of America Chesapeake & Carolinas today announced the hire of Mike Sheedy as Executive Director of Mid-Atlantic Neighborhood Development Corporation (MANDC). The Mid-Atlantic Neighborhood Development Corp. is a joint venture partnership between Volunteers of America National Services and Volunteers of America Chesapeake & Carolinas with the purpose of continuing efforts of developing affordable housing opportunities for those who are most in need.
Sheedy is an architect and 20 year commercial real estate veteran. In this new role, Sheedy will be responsible for establishing MANDC as a regional affordable housing developer in the Mid-Atlantic and formulating and implementing the MANDC affordable housing development strategy in collaboration with the board.
Sheedy is excited to play a role in the vision of VOACC by making affordable housing part of our ongoing work with low-income families, veterans and seniors.

Spending the majority of his life in Maryland, Sheedy an Army veteran serving from 1993-2001, joins VOACC after spending nearly 10 years as the Senior Vice President for a Baltimore based real estate development company.

A graduate of the University of Maryland, Johns Hopkins University and the Wharton School of business, Sheedy resides with his wife Justine and four daughters (H.S. sophomore & senior and two college graduates) in Towson. MD. His family enjoys time together, hiking and traveling within the country exploring all that the U.S. has to share.
