Mental Health Rehabilitation Services (MHRS) – Core Service Agency
MHRS services are delivered 50% of the time in the community, including in the consumer’s home. Services are for people who have a primary mental health diagnosis of a serious and persistent mental illness, and who need help to return to a level of functioning that allows them to fully integrate their lives at home, at work, and in the community.
Services are delivered by para professional community support workers, independently licensed, master’s level mental health professionals, and peer support counselors. Services are person centered, selected by the consumer, and reflected in a treatment plan designed to help consumers reach their highest levels of independence and recovery from a major mental illness.
VOAC's MHRS Core Service Agency offers over seventeen (17) evidence based practices designed to help people achieve, and maintain, long term recovery.
