Advocacy
For more than 124 years, Volunteers of America Chesapeake & Carolinas has followed the pledge of our founders Ballington and Maud Booth to “go wherever we are needed and do whatever comes to hand.”
At Volunteers of America Chesapeake & Carolinas our commitment and continuum of service not only means identifying at-risk populations and providing high-quality program services and facilities; but also advocating for those we serve and standing up for the area’s most vulnerable individuals.
Our organization believes that every man, woman and child should be treated with respect and dignity and not only receive the individualized supports they need – but also the hope they deserve to work towards self-reliant lives.
We invite you to learn more about our advocacy initiatives, the issues we care about and the ways you can get involved to help not only those in need in your community – but in your state and nation.
