Bailey's Crossroads Community Shelter
Located in Falls Church, Fairfax County, Virginia, Volunteers of America Chesapeake's Bailey’s Crossroads Community Shelter is a 50-bed, emergency homeless shelter for adult men and women. Bailey's Crossroads Community Shelter is funded by the Fairfax County Government to bring essential services to the county. The average stay at the shelter is 90 days and may include medical care, mental health services, substance abuse counseling, education and training for homeless individuals. The shelter also offer services such as:
- Housing locator Services
- Community Case Management
- Permanent Supportive Housing Program
As the community's primary emergency homeless shelter since 1994, the center also provides a Drop In program 7 days a week. This program offers homeless individuals the opportunity to bathe, receive a nutritious meal and wash their clothes.
During the winter months, from November 1 to March 31, the center is also home to a Hypothermia Program.
